Creative Europe MEDIA Desk MK

Supporting Europe's Film and Audiovisual industries in the development, distribution, and promotion of their projects.

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia, in cooperation with Macedonian Film Agency and the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission (Department of Culture), organizes a conference on the topic: "Creative Europe - an incentive for cultural cooperation", which will be held on 13 November 2017, starting at 10:00 am in the premises of the EU Info Centre in Skopje. The conference will be attended by the high representatives of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, the Executive Agency of the European Commission and the Delegation of the European Union in Skopje.

The Creative Europe Program, as an instrument of the European Union, aimed at reforming the cultural, creative and audiovisual sector, covers with its complexity several aspects of the European cultural cooperation that is being implemented within the framework of the current policies of the European Union, such as foreign policy, regional cooperation, enlargement policy, cultural diplomacy, etc.

In this regard, within the framework of the conference, the above topics will be considered in detail in order to bring closer the complex context of the program and its role in the European integration processes to Macedonian cultural operators.

The conference will include a practical part concerning the results of the implementation of the program at the European level, as well as the current calls for applications for the sub-programs "Culture" and "MEDIA". Within this part, for the first time, Mr. Karel Bartak, Head of the Culture Department of the Executive Agency in Brussels, will directly convey the views and criteria of the Executive Agency to the Macedonian operators.
