Creative Europe MEDIA Desk MK

Supporting Europe's Film and Audiovisual industries in the development, distribution, and promotion of their projects.

On 11.12.2017, in Podgorica was held MEDIA Info Day, organized by the Creative Europe MEDIA Desk of Montenegro, in collaboration with Creative Europe MEDIA Desk from Macedonia. Focus of the event was call for Single Project Development and as first Montenegrin film supported in this scheme, was presented the film "After the winter", by the director Ivan Bakrac, in production of Artikulacija. In frame of the event, also was held lecture on the subject: "Film and TV as creative industry - importance of film an TV tourism". The event was attended by the representatives of Montenegrin audiovisual sector, as well as by the professors and students of Faculty of Dramatic Arts from Cetinje and Faculty of visual arts from Podgorica.

From 2 to 6 December 2017, Animateka - International Animated Film Festival in Ljubljana, hosted dynamic workshop, tailor-made for animated film producers from Central and Eastern Europe. The Workshop brought together 26 professionals from 19 countries, in order to build a stronger and more knowledgeable regional network of co-producers, artists, planners, marketers, sellers and financing partners.

The workshop included meetings, discussions, pitching, lobbying efforts and high quality, high-end training to enable and inspire CEE companies to work together with more resources. Head of the studies for the event was Linda Beath.

The workshop resulted with Ljubljana Accord, a jointly formulated and approved message to all founders and broadcasters, requesting more supportive regulations and industry practices.

This workshop was an initiative developed and organized by the Creative Europe Desks – MEDIA coming from: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Georgia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine, in cooperation with Motovila Institute, Visegrad Animation Forum, the pitching and networking platform uniting producers of animated films from the CEE region.

The main aim of the workshop was growing and strengthening of animation companies and animation sector, but also growing of the audiences.

Creative Europe MEDIA's calls for Film Education and Distribution - Selective scheme are published.

For Film education the applicant must be a consortium (project leader and at least 2 partners) of entities (private companies, non-profit organisations, associations, charities, foundations, municipalities/Town Councils, etc.) established in one of the countries participating in the MEDIA Sub-programme and owned directly or by majority participation, by nationals from such countries. The project leader will submit the application on behalf of all partners. Application deadline is 01.03.2018. More details on the links below:
